How we work
A design-build process, made simple.
At McCracken Projects we've created a design-build process that ensures a smooth, transparent journey to your custom home. By managing both design and construction in-house, we provide clear communication, careful planning, and a final result that reflects your vision. Here's how it works:
Step 01
Initial Consultation
We start by discussing your vision, lifestyle needs, and design preferences. This is where we get to know your goals for the project, budget, and timeline, laying the foundation for the process ahead.

Step 02
Design & Pre-Construction Contract
Once we've aligned on the vision, we enter into a Design & Pre-Construction Contract. This contract covers the design phase and detailed planning of your home. It includes creating conceptual designs, budget development, and material selection. We collaborate closely with you to refine these plans until they're just right.
Step 03
Conceptual Design & Pre-Construction Planning
With the contract in place, our design team develops floor plans and architectural sketches based on your input. During pre-construction, we finalize the project schedule, materials, and finishes, ensuring everything is ready for a smooth transition into the construction phase.

Step 04
Construction Contract & Build
Once the design and planning are complete, we move into the Construction Contract. This officially kicks off the building phase. Our construction team gets to work, bringing your vision to life with expert craftsmanship and regular progress updates to keep you informed every step of the way.
Step 05
Final Walkthrough & Move-In
When construction is complete, we conduct a final walkthrough to ensure your new home exceeds your expectations. Any finishing touches are made, and your home is ready for move-in. Even after you've settled in, our team is here for ongoing support.
